Here’s a super vintage quilt in the Dresden Plate style ~ hand appliquéd with a variety of fabrics that seem to span a period of time from the late 1800s to the 1950s. Most of the fabrics are 30’s-40’s, but I see a couple of chintz pieces that reflect the latter half of the 19th century. Obviously, they were using up what they had on hand! It comes with provenance; Ms. Ruby Chaney of Johnson County (Stillwell) Kansas made this beauty (more information will be provided to the new owner). It is nicely hand quilted at 10-11 SPI, hand bound, white cotton muslin backing. Never used, never washed, it’s in excellent condition with just the slightest teeny bit of age soiling that will easily launder if you so choose. Shown here on a king sized bed, though it is better suited for something smaller ~ it’s non directional and could be turned any way that suits your needs. (92x74 inches)
